Those who do venture into The Cellars are typically desperate and starving Vampires, enticed by the promise of tasting authentic hellhound blood. Once they enter this underground realm, escape becomes impossible, and they are subjected to a meager supply of hellhound blood to sustain their existence and motivate them to continue their menial labor. The allure of The Cellars is often marketed as the "perfect place to live," as it provides complete shelter from the sunlight, and the perceived quality of life is deemed superior.Primarily, the work conducted in The Cellars revolves around managing the largest blood supply in the world. The upper class has a high distain and dislike for the lower class, as they feel as they are inherently more superior to the outer city. They often call lower class people bottom feeders or deadites, and often see the poor as delinquents/sexual deviants who will do anything for good blood.The upper class often has high expectations for their class as well as strict social rules and have a strict and high heteronormative status quo. there are uniforms according to profession, and usually have strict policies regarding them.
Women often have positions of power such as queen, judge, lawyer, teachers, ect. Men are often sexualized more frequently, even though sexuality is a very hush topic and are often victims of their social hierarchy. Men are often the main users of beauty products such as makeup, and often reveal more skin in their uniforms. Police officers are the one profession that is male dominant, with the commanding officers usually being women.Transitioning from upper to lower class is significantly easier than the other way around. Once one gets to a lower class position, it is almost impossible to make their way up to upper class due to many barriers. If one was raised in an upper class environment, it would be easier to access things due to previous contacts, and not having the language barrier. When one is born in upper class, they usually stay there & continue their families profession. However there is a large presence of police in the kingdom, so they are often respected by the upper class to have the illusion of keeping them safe.Their education system often leaves out many things of their history to make the kingdom appear a lot nicer than they are. This often causes people to not learn the true history of the kingdoms bloody past. Many people in the resistance who are in the upper class often try to teach others on the down low, due to the information being left out for a reason.
Lower Class:
The lower class often lives in the outer city, and has many challenges they face separate from the upper class. They often have a large distain for the upper class, due to their treatment they get from them. They often call the upper class "Snow Leaches" & "Uppies" to often make fun of their behavior.It is often a 'fend for yourself' kind of free for all environment they grow up living in. Most of the lower class does not give a fuck about their own wellbeing, let alone anyone else. They often lack a stimulating life and often have no hope or care for themselves or others. This often can lead to infighting, and blaming each other for their poor conditions. This can manifest in things such as blaming overpopulation for the lack of blood supply. Many of the lower class vampires are often uneducated and base most of their decisions on their feelings and emotions.
Due to their lack of care, it is often more accepted to not dress or act in the status quo that the upper class vampires had. Due to their lack of care, there are many vampires suffering with various addictions that often lead to death if untreated. They often have lack rules in dress code, and in some communities it is often encouraged to break the norms that the upper class set. It is often encouraged to find ones own style as well in retaliation against these norms.There are no graveyards for the dead, and in fact the dead are often taken away to an undisclosed location. Shortly after ones passing, their remains are taken by police if their body is still mostly in tact.
